Our strategy remains consistent \u2014 focused on our three aims: <strong>Perform<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Protect<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Progress<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 while accelerating delivery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many of our main programmes for 2025-26 are continuing into next year, including Consumer Consent, Tariff Interoperability, Retail Energy Code (REC) Portal Relaunch, Enquiry Services <span data-teams=\"true\">Evolution<\/span>, Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement, <span data-teams=\"true\">Code Reform, <\/span>and Code Manager Service Evolution. Each has clear milestones ahead and remains central to our work to drive improvement across the retail energy market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our plan is strongly linked to the requirements of the\u00a0Code Manager Licence transition\u00a0and\u00a0Ofgem\u2019s Strategic Direction Statement, ensuring our activity reflects both regulatory expectations and market needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We continue to look ahead and prepare for new areas that are coming within the scope of the REC, such as Customer-Led Flexibility, non-domestic smart meter rollout changes, and the Safe Isolator Provider accreditation scheme. Your feedback helps us validate that we\u2019re focused on the right priorities and helps clarify what we\u2019ll do, when, and why.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Final Budget 2026<\/strong> will be published <strong>mid February 2026<\/strong>, and t<span data-teams=\"true\">he <strong>Final Forward Work Plan 2026\u201329<\/strong> will be published at the end of <strong>March 2026<\/strong>, following a thorough review of stakeholder responses to the consultation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What\u2019s in this year\u2019s draft plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year\u2019s draft reflects the direction of travel in the wider energy market, including themes set out in Ofgem\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vwd.website\/fs\/preliminary-strategic-direction-statement-explained\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Preliminary Strategic Direction Statement<\/a>, and our preparations for operating as a licensed Code Manager.
