Women over 50 are the fastest-growing demographic in the workplace, yet conversations about menopause are still often met with misunderstanding or silence.<\/p>\n<p>The average age for starting menopause is 51, but studies show the majority of women feel uncomfortable discussing menopause-related health issues with their line managers, fearing a lack of understanding.<\/p>\n<h2>Our work so far<\/h2>\n<p>At RECCo, we&#8217;re committed to changing this narrative. In October, we celebrated World Menopause Day. We took an important step toward becoming a menopause-positive workplace by welcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/julie-cowser-0b2b684\/\">Julie Cowser<\/a>, a licensed Menopause Workplace Trainer with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/menopauseintheworkplace\/\">Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace<\/a>, to deliver a Menopause Awareness Session for our team. Julie shared key insights on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The stages and symptoms of menopause;<\/li>\n<li>How it can affect work-life;<\/li>\n<li>Practical management strategies;<\/li>\n<li>Support resources that are available to all.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;re proud to have earned our menopause training certificate and to raise awareness within our organisation. But this is just the beginning\u2014our commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment continues as we look forward to taking further steps on this important journey.<\/p>\n<h2>We&#8217;re becoming a Henpicked &#8216;menopause-friendly&#8217; employer<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;re committed to becoming a Menopause-Friendly Employer by earning our Menopause-Friendly Accreditation with the support of Henpicked.<\/p>\n<p>The Menopause Friendly badge helps everyone understand best practices and makes it easier to achieve them. To accomplish the Menopause Friendly Accreditation, we must demonstrate to an Independent Panel of experts that we actively support menopause at work across five accreditation pillars.
